Delivery & collection

We bring the machine ourselves, on our own plant trailer, across Newcastle and the wider North East. It is part of the job, not an afterthought.

How it works

We deliver it, we collect it

You do not arrange transport, and you are not waiting on a third-party haulier who does not know the job. The machine goes on our trailer with all three buckets, arrives at the time we agreed, and comes off where you want it.

Delivery and collection are quoted separately, based on your site postcode and the distance from our yard. Send the postcode with your enquiry and you get the hire and the transport priced together, confirmed before you book.

Site access requirements

Five minutes checking these saves a wasted delivery — and a wasted delivery is the one thing on this page that costs everybody a day.

  • Access width Roughly 0.99m for the 1.7t, about 1.5m for the 2.7t. Measure the tightest point, not the driveway.
  • A clear route From the road to the working area: no bins, materials or parked cars in the way when we arrive.
  • Firm ground Ground the tracks and the trailer can cross without sinking, and somewhere legal to stand the truck while we unload.
  • Someone on site Somebody responsible at the agreed time to take the handover and agree where the machine is left.

Not sure it will fit? Send a photograph of the access with your enquiry.

On the day

From arrival to first dig

Four steps, and on self-drive the third is the one that matters most.

01

Arrival & site walk

We arrive at the agreed time and walk the route in with you before anything comes off the trailer.

02

Unload & position

The machine and all three buckets come off and go exactly where you want them, not where the trailer happened to stop.

03

Familiarisation & safety brief

On self-drive we run through the controls, the isolators and the safety points before we leave you with it.

04

A number to call

You keep a direct number for the whole hire. If something is not right, you speak to us, not a call centre.

End of hire

Collection, checked together

We come back for it. Nothing to drop off, nothing to arrange, and no argument at the end about what state it went back in.

Give us as much notice as you can for collection and we will always try to work with the programme you are on. Full detail is in our terms of hire.

  • We collect Same trailer, same people, at a time agreed with you.
  • Fuel and condition Checked over together at handover, so both sides know where they stand.
  • If the job overruns Ring us before the end of the hire and we will extend it if the machine is free.
FAQ

Delivery, answered

The questions that decide whether a delivery goes smoothly or gets turned away.

The 1.7 tonne U17-5 passes through an opening of roughly one metre. The 2.7 tonne U27-4 needs about 1.5 metres. Both need a firm, clear route from the road to the working area.

Yes. They are quoted separately, based on your site postcode and how far the site is from our yard. You get the hire and the transport priced together and confirmed before you book, so nothing is added afterwards.

Yes. Someone responsible needs to be on site to take the handover, agree where the machine is left and sign for it.

As much as you can give. Deliveries run to an agreed date and time, and pre-arranged deliveries and collections can be accommodated outside our normal hours where possible. Call and ask even at short notice — we will tell you honestly what we can fit in.

Ask anyway. Newcastle, Northumberland, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland are the core areas, and we travel beyond them for the right job.
